Metropolis, in my opinion, is perhaps not the most outsatanding in the Gunther series ( my favorite is still the Berlin Noir trilogy) but still possess most of the key Kerr/ Gunther “ingredients:” good , plausible story, mixture of real characters together with fictional ones, elegant style, wit and humour.
