My computer is connected to the Router by an Ethernet Connection. We both have a Samsung Tab 3. Unknown devices on network.
Phones that nobody in the house uses will randomly pop up under Network for a while and then go away. Random devices that i did not connect to my network are popping up under the Network section of Windows Explorer.
I'm pretty sure this is nothing to worry about. The USSD protocol allows you to access hidden features you didn't know about right from your smartphone's dialer. If you are wondering why is my mobile network not available, let us tell you that there could be several reasons including but not limited to nulled or an invalid IMEI#, poor network coverage, issues with your carrier or other technical issues with your phone. I turned off all the phones and tablets and tested to see if and what device might be causing this issue. It's just your neighbors' phones/tablets with wifi turned on automatically trying to connect to your wifi network because it's in range. If you do this in the middle of the day, and it is an important device you might receive a phone call from someone who can tell you what the device is. I have came to the conclusion, that both mine and my wife's phone shares the same chipset as the ZTE, which is the phone that comes up in the network.
I have checked my WiFi Settings on my Router and no such device is listed. Thanks in advance by DavidSCC. If I were running a service that supported android and I wanted to discover specific android devices on my network, then I could just register the mac addresses for those devices and watch for them on the network. However, when i check on my Netgear Router settings, none of these devices appear anywhere. So I keep finding a unknown Device(s) listed as Phones on my Home Network In Windows 10. My home network, 2 x Win 10 PCs 2 x Win 7 Hyper-V PCs 2 x Media Devices (Foxtel and Panasonic PVR) all wired Ethernet, no wireless devices.
